Risk Reduction Foundation was established on January 16, 2010 in Geneva (Switzerland). For its useful social activity the Foundation received tax-exempt status from the Government of the Swiss Confederation in 2011.


Promotion of innovative technologies and solutions for the transition to sustainable and environmentally sound development and improved quality of life in accordance with the UN Human Development Index criteria.


Implementation of the principles of risk management in public and private sector. Increasing the resilience of governmental and commercial organizations management systems to new challenges.

Areas of activity:

  • Ecologization of economy;
  • Providing information for effective management;
  • Protection of environmental rights;
  • Support for small and medium-sized businesses;
  • Public-private partnership.

Risk Reduction Foundation implemented a number of expert projects together with the bodies of the United Nations, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the Club of Rome. Together with the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation Risk Reduction Foundation supported educational initiatives for young people. Online projects for the development of local self-government and for increase of the level of investment culture were created.

Vladimir Kosterin

Head of the «Risk Reduction Foundation», PhD in Public Administration. Field of activity - sustainable development and promotion of innovative technologies aimed at reduction of the environmental, economic and social risks. On 16 January Vladimir Kosterin established International «Risk Reduction Foundation» in Geneva (Switzerland).
